Visiting relatives

Slept in until around 9 am. Mum and Dad rang and we talked for almost half an hour. Today we are visiting Ans and Wim. Ans is my grandmothers sisters daughter. It was about an hour to their house and the weather is kind of strange today. It is overcast with a sort of fog or haze. I asked if it was pollution but they said no, a fog. There is no wind so nothing to clear it away. The drive was interesting, wind turbines, wind mills, cows, paddocks etc., the usual :)

Ans started bloating us up immediately with tea and a very nice cake, like Black Forest but with almond paste in the middle as well. After a round of small cakes with our second round of tea, and after their son Eric arrived, we drove to Breda. I was fully bloated by now and hoping we weren't going to eat anything here. We had a lovely walk, the town centrum is very large, lots of shops. There is a large 16th century church in the centre. We visited it and also an old nunnery. The last nun died in 1990, after 700 years of there being a nunnery here. We then strolled back through the town to the cars. It was actually quite a long walk and I think we were all a bit tired when we got back. Oh, it was sunny most of the time we were in Breda.

We sat outside when we got back, lovely and warm, no wind and had some wine and then around 6:30 Chinese was delivered. Actually it was Indonesian :) Nice but! Fried rice (they call it Nasi), noodles, pork, omelet, chicken chop suey. We couldn't finish it all, however we did find room for strawberries afterwards. We stayed until about 8pm, I actually fell asleep, briefly, during the drive home :)
